MRCI Day Services Programming

The Well was so fortunate this summer to receive a grant from New Ulm Area Community Education Lifelong Learning Foundation to host and facilitate wellness programming in collaboration with MRCI Day Services for adults with developmental disabilities living in and around New Ulm.

It was a true joy to be able to spend time with them after the impact of Covid-19 on group home residents who were in almost total isolation and lockdown. We were able to go for nature walks, create healthy snacks, pot plants, practice sensory skills related to stress and anxiety, and most importantly: simply enjoy each other’s company and enjoy peer connection.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for giving us the opportunity and the privilege to do such meaningful work.

“The New Ulm WELLness Collective have been wonderful to work with. Not only have they been flexible, but they have come up with some amazing activities for our clients. From Yoga, to nature hunts the Wellness Collective has been willing to adapt their classes to each clients individual needs. We are looking forward to continuing our partnership with them!”
